luvu is a dating app that replaces endless swiping with real experiences. Instead of judging someone by a photo, you meet them over something you both want to do — a pottery class, a walk through the High Line, dinner at a neighborhood spot, or a morning run along the waterfront.

How it works

Browse curated experiences across New York City. When something catches your eye, pick a time that works for you and apply. If someone compatible has also applied for the same experience and time, you're matched — and the date is set. A brief chat window opens so you can coordinate logistics, and then you meet in person.

Why experiences

First dates are awkward. Sitting across from a stranger making small talk over coffee is nobody's idea of a great time. Doing something together — cooking, exploring, creating — changes the dynamic entirely. You learn more about someone in an hour of shared activity than in a week of texting.
